I love it's low DoF, but I can't use it on a small room.
I really wanted a full-frame camera (5D) but I don't have that money right now, so I'm really searching for a nice 50mm "equivalent" lens. Your post really helped me :) Thanks.
MiguelMiguel M. I was desperately looking for an affordable lens for low-light, indoor shooting, but I was getting all kinds of conflicting reviews for the Sigma 30mm, Canon 28mm and 35mm (non-L).Richardhttp://photoking.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5039319045486292976.post-73406207608066631292009-05-21T22:04:13.368-07:002009-05-21T22:04:13.368-07:00i've got this lens and yearned for something a lit...i've got this lens and yearned for something a little faster and a little wider (the noisy AF also bugged me) so i saved my pennies and got the sigma 30mm f/1.4.

as much as i love the sigma, the canon is still sharper and smaller (and lighter) so i'll have to agree, despite the prehistoric design of this lens, it's still a keeper.

were you aware of the rumoured upgrade canon are making to this model? USM focus as well as an increase to f/1.8. see canonrumors.comjohnnyOnlinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17662416959901592416noreply@blogger.com
